A box from the since 1857 "createur chocolatier" arrived in the morning of this Friday the 13th (corrected by Edizon, 14th). Didn't expect that I'll get my hands on a box of the Belgian NEUHAUS! Gianduja! Pralines! Truffes! Snobinettes!
A little info from the brochure in the box: Neuhaus, Belgian "Chocolate Maker" since 1857, is the inventor of the Belgian praline and the company which devised the ballotin, or deep rectangular box with flaps, in which all authentic Belgian chocolates are sold in Belgium. To this day, their prestigious pralines are still prepared using authentic recipes and in full respect of artisan tradition of the house. In the preparation of its chocolate, the only vegetable fat used by Neuhaus is cocoa butter.
AND AND AND... this is one reason why it's hard to purchase them...they cannot be preserved long:
GUARANTEE: If you notice the slightest imperfection in the quality of our products, please return them to our customer service department, with a note of their date and place of purchase. Since Neuhaus pralines are prepared using the fresh ingredients, thay can only be preserved for a short periods of time.
LURVE! YEY!
